About

Rakesh, a Master of Commerce joined service as officer under Central Board of Indirect Taxes, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. During his carrier he served Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Directorate General of Central Excise intelligence (DGGI) and GST Audit. He retired in the month of December 2019 post serving 34+ years. He is recipient of Samman Award (1999) and Presidential Award (2013).

Rakesh is having experience of 34+ years of experience in the field of indirect taxes.

Area of Practice

Rakesh’s Expertise lies in the fields of indirect taxes comprising of Central Excise, GST, Service Tax and Custom and at presently he is handling various matters pertaining to classification of goods, evaluation of tax and implication under indirect tax law, settlement commission, assurance and representation before GST, Service Tax, Customs, Central Excise Authorities, Commissioner Appeals and Tribunals.
